Fundraising
Fundraising for 2021/22 Season:
Mandatory Fundraisers:
Ladies Auction and Year End Carnival
Each family is required to donate an item ($40 value or $40 cash) by October 30th, 2021 and volunteer in some capacity with the year end carnival. Failure to participate in either of these two mandatory fundraisers can result in your skater not being allowed to skate, with no refund. When you register with the Houston Skating Club, you are only paying for a very small portion of what it actually costs the club to run your child’s program. The remaining amount of money must be generated through fundraising.
$300 Fundraising deposit required. There will be three Fundraisers:
1. Gift Card Raffle:
Each family is required to donate a $30 gift card from a local (Terrace to Prince George) business by November 30th.
2. Christmas Gala:
Each family is expected to volunteer for the Gala. Sign up sheets will be posted closer to the event.
3. Cash Raffle
Each family will be required to sell one book of tickets for our cash raffle after Christmas.
Each of those three fundraisers are worth $100 of your fundraising cheque. If you do not participate in each fundraiser your cheque will be cashed. If you choose to not participate in the three fundraisers in advance please let the registrar know. You are still expected to participate in the Ladies Auction and Carnival even if you opt out of the three fundraisers.
Fundraising cheques are due on the first day of skating before your skater will be allowed on the ice.
